“The Perfect Fit” Marketing Tips

Too many business owners operate under the belief that their product or service will be of interest to everyone.  When asked the question, “Who do you sell to?”  More often than not, you’ll hear, “Everyone, or all Women”.

Believe it or not, not everyone will love you, what you do or what you sell.  Often, this becomes obvious when your days seem to be filled with cranky customers who complain about the quality of your product or service.

Creating a marketing plan sets you up for success. Spending even more time identifying who your “Perfect Customer” is more beneficial.  Wouldn’t you like to know that everyone who buys from you will speak highly of you?

So, how do you know who your “Perfect Customer” is?  Robin Fisher Roffer says, in her book, “Make a Name for Yourself,’ “Before you try to appeal to your audience, do a 180-degree turn and stand in their shoes.”

Closely examine your current customers. Make a list of everything you know about them.

Now this research may take some time but its well worth it. Remember as Stacey Hall and Jan Brogniez say, in their book, ‘Attracting Perfect Customers’, “For all of us there is a “Perfect Customer”, that individual and group of individuals for whom we and our business is a “Perfect Fit”.

The benefits of identifying your “Perfect Customers” are endless.  You can create marketing plans along with the appropriate marketing materials that personalize every product or service.  There are huge cost savings and more profit when you work your business in a strategic and focused manner.  However, the greatest benefit of all is having your customers rave about you and what you offer!
